This announcement already went out on our mailing list at the start of the week, but for any non-subscribers:
The next meeting will be held on Saturday 8/18 at 2pm at my place in Fairfield, CT. Send me a PM or email
to get the address. Feel free to bring plants/fish/hardscape/whatever for swapping.
I was hoping to arrange a project for this month's meeting, but it fell through. In lieu of anything more productive, we'll spend part of the meeting enjoying the aquatic scenery of the Audubon Society's hiking trails, which lie just across the street. (They do not allow collecting, so please don't bring any materials for that purpose.) If the weather's bad, we'll just have to hike through the jungles of my fishroom instead. (Collecting in my fishroom is permitted if you have something interesting to swap!)
On another note, I placed an ad for CAPE in the next several issues of Tropical Fish Hobbyist (TFH) magazine, so we'll hopefully recruit a few new members via that. Look for us in the Clubs/Events section in the back of the issue. Also, while you're at it, take a look at the Planted Tank column in the magazine, starting with the upcoming Oct 2012 issue.
If you're planning on attending this month's meeting, please RSVP so I can get a head count.
