This month, we'll be tagging along with the North Jersey Aquarium Society (NJAS) on their collecting trip in South Jersey. Leslie has graciously volunteered to drive up to 3 people in her car if transportation is an issue for - and I highly recommend carpooling for any extra people.
The meet-up time in northern Jersey is at 9:00am, so anyone who wants to go with Leslie will have to meet with her at about 6:30am—yes, it's a bit earlier than our usual meeting time, I know!
The description of the day's agenda I was given is as follows:

on this day, and the participation on 9/8, we might go down to Batso and
Absegami Lakes, and if down there will definitely stop by the Mullica River
for Killies. If we don't get down there because of a participation issue,
we'll still do some collecting at Pine Lake and Horicon Lake and will keep
I may or may not be able to attend this event—there's a distinct possibility that I'll be on a road trip to North Carolina that weekend (we have to see if our stupid plot of dirt washed away yet), but if I am on this side of the Mason-Dixon line I'll be coming along. Either way, I'm donating a seine net and some miscellaneous collecting supplies to the cause for everyone to use.
If you're interested in attending, please email me
for more information.
