Default DIY Mini Canister Filter for nano tanks

Alright so I've been searching for a mini canister filter for small tanks (like under 5 gallons) and I happen to find this site where it shows how you can make a mini canister filter for under $10 bucks. Pictures and steps are clearly written:

Yay I got one reply =).
While attempting to read Japanese (or was it Mandarin?), I came across another site for the canister filter. Here's the link:

http://www.aqugrass.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9668

It shows the filter in work and the inlet/outlet tubes too.

I will use this filter for my new nano, but hardest is to find a good container.
One needs a special container or all can be appropriate ?

As long as you can drill through the container and seal it well, I suppose if it meets those crit. then its appropriate. I would look at the food-storage containers, the airtight ones myself if I were to do this. Thats what the pic looks like as well.

You may want to look at containrs that use a locking system (twist N Seal, Lock & Lock) since pressure might pop open a regular tupperware type top.

On top of locking containers, open the options to big PVC pipe with matching caps. However, containers are easier to get from big stores or plasticware shops. Can even pick the size and color.
