iTrader Positive Rating: 100% | PVC Board tanks I've been out of the hobby for a while, moved over to terrariums. I really miss the aquatic side so I am planning on building a paludarium with the bottom 12-15" aquatic and another 20-24" land. I remember some people building plywood aquariums with some success, but the waterproofing process is very labor intensive. Quite a few people have built terrariums using PVC board, which is lightweight, sturdy (if built right) and instantly waterproof. My plan is a tank 5' L x 24"D x 30-36"H. To help with the water pressure, I think I'm going to use 1" thick PVC boards. I'm also building a custom stand and I'm going to extend the lip of the stand up 12" to give extra stability to the boards holding the water feature. I was wondering if anyone over here has tried something like this. |
