I am just wondering if an ordinary flourescent shoplight @ 2 x 25 watts is acceptable for a 37 gallon tank.
This is just temp. until I get a better setup.
Let me know YES OR NO

Yes, shoplights work fine--although 50 watts won't be much light for a 37 gallon tank. It would work as a temporary solution, however.

I forgot to mention that I also have a 20 watt,
18000k light on as well. But that wasn't nearly enough.
Thanks for your help.

18000K doesn't provide much usable light for plants. If you have a different bulb, that would get you to ~2wpg which is a great start for a low light tank.
