OK than. I will buy 2 x 175w. In the specs you can see that average service life is 250h. Does this mean that I will need to change the bulb every 25 days? I hope it is something else. By the way what is the life expectancy of these lamps?

Maybe 9-12 months for the color but years for the life span.

OK then. The solution has be found I will order tomorrow the lamps and probably will buy 2x200 w there are no 175w. It's ok I will be more than 3WPG. Glossostigma growth will have no problem i think. I will be using seachem fertilizers (which would you suggest?) and what types? Of course CO2 injection For fish I am thinking harlequin and boseman's rainbow fish but I also like to add some cherry's. Now wouldn't some clown loaches be a nice addition? I have heard that they MAY hurt plants but I will take them when they will be babys and hope that they will get used to vegetation

Hi again. Tomorrow I will be receiving the metal halide lamp. It will be from osram. 1 lamp 250 w 5.500 K. It's cost including the lighting body and it's elcetric systems about 100 euro (1 euro = 1 dollar). Which is quite cheap. If I chose to use 2 x 150 w I would have the problem that the 150w were only in 4200 K. Anyway 1 lamp can cover the triangle tank cause it will be placed in the center, while in regular tanks you cannot do that. Just to compare a specialized metal halide product if found 2x150w costed 900 euros.... It was simply out of the question
