[Wet Thumb Forum]-Moving, Several Questions

Well I finally bought a house This means that I don't have as much free money as I would like. Throw the 120gal out the window. But, maybe I could squeek out a 55 gal setup What are the best dimentions for this size tank and aquascaping? Anyone been here before? I'm upgrading from 20 Gal to ?gal and moving. Should I just move the 20 or buy a new tank and transfer? Any tips on moving tanks? I have 2 small hybred Angels a small school of Rasporas and algae incidentals, all of which I love. Oh heavily planted, tank c02, 55w CF light, ehiem 2213. Chao

hey Homestar,
we've just bought a 55 Gallon tank & it measures 48"x15x18high seems like its gonna be nice for planting, why not keep your 20 gallon & get the new tank after you move

Well, I want a bigger tank; is'nt that the say for everyone? But this seems like the Ideal time to upgrade.

A 48" tank will cost pretty much the same no matter what size you do. If your going 4' with budget in mind, go 75gallon.

They are 48" long x 18" wide x 20" high, add some substrate and that give you a square, the best dimentions to work with.

The 48" 50G is ok, but you will find the 13" depth to be a seriously limiting factor design wise. It will get very annoying. I had one once, sold it 3 weeks after I set it up.
