I really want a 36"x18"x20" tank, but I just can't find one!

No way I'm buying it locally for ~$200. I already have the 36"x12"x24" but it doesn't offer much in the way of aquascaping because it's so narrow. I also have trouble with most medium+ light plants because my light doesn't seem to penetrate that deep.

Anyone have any suggestions where I can sell my 29g and 45g or buy a 56g cheap?

Where are you pricing your tanks locally? If you went with a little less height you could get a 40 breeder or a 50 gallon tank, 36x18x16 and 36x18x19. I was looking at a 40 breeder today in Portland and it was $98.95, they are awesome tanks. The 50 gallon tank is $119.95. Now mind you these are tank only prices. But ordering tanks is an expensive idea. The shipping will kill you. As for selling your current tanks I would suggest an ad in the newspaper or post a note at your LFS.

Well Rex I'm having real trouble aquascaping my 45H. With only 12" to work with my options are limited. It's a healthy tank, but very few short plants will grow. I've had a lot of luck with anubias, crypts & swords. Swords love the tank, but I don't really like them

The Wetspot had a 36"x18"x18" for $119.95. It just looks so short next to mine. My problem is that my 96w light is 36"L. I'd like to avoid replacing that (lighting is so expensive).

Should I just post some pics for aquascaping advice and take it from there? Grrr, I'm tired.

That 50 gallon tank is a nice tank. And you will end up with a lot more light at the substrate level due to the shorter height. And it is a lot deeper and will make it much easier to aquascape. I feel for you as I have a 55 gallon tank that is only 13" wide and it's hard to do anything in that width.
