Default 1Gal. With kitty litter

Good day everyone, allow me to share my 4 weeks old dirt tank set up.

Plants:

Anacharis
- doing really well, I trimmed and re-planted already twice. Pearls like crazy.

Dwarf Sagittaria
- growing strong as well with new leaves in all of them.

Pothos
- just added a week ago, Iím glad to see a new leaf growing today.

Staurogyne repens (for the hundredth time now still canít spell this plant correctly)
- okay at first, but now itís clearly dissolving from roots to the stem. I believe itís allelopathy going on in the soil. Oh well, this is normal so I donít mind.

Light:

LED bulb that is following a siesta regimen of 5:4:5

Soil:
Aside from the normal walstad set up, I added a kitty litter (unscented, non clumping) as my very first layer to avoid suffocating the dirt. Then, followed with the soil and capped with natural gravels.

Right now thereís a betta, nerite and some hitch hiker snails (which I donít mind)
After 2 weeks the ammonia reading and nitrate was really promising so I went and added the B. And N.
Till this day no spike of ammonia.

Iím very new with pothos plants in general so if you have any tip please let me know.

Thank you for reading.

Wow, you have used plenty of plants for setup!
... and the plants are in good condition.

Yes I did, I learned from my previous set up that I have to really plant heavy on fast growers right off the bat.

Thank you sir @Michael, especially for answering my questions in PM.

Does anyone know how can I upload pictures better? Pictures I have here are horizontal instead of vertical.

Nice little bowl. Hope you will inspire others to start off with more fast-growing plants.

I rotate my photos before I attach them to posts. Still don't know how people incorporate the photos into their posts, so I'm definitely not the expert here.

I never upload photos from a phone. First I save them on my desktop computer, tinker with them as needed (like changing orientation), then upload them to a post.

Thank you Ms. Diana, definitely, fast growers are the key in the early stage of your method plus floaters.

I'll make sure to upload my pictures to my computer first next time.
