Default Prazi-Pro worm treatment in a Walstad tank?

Hi all!

I think my betta has worms, he's got a slightly swollen stomach that looks kind of white and has white stringy poo (if anyone wants to challenge this diagnosis, please do!). My understanding of treating parasites is that part of their lifecycle happens outside of the host, hence why you treat the whole tank rather than taking the fish out, treating them separately, then putting them back in.

Obviously the problem here is that I'm worried the medication will disrupt the tank's balance somehow. The ingredients of what I plan on using, PraziPro, are "oxybispropanol (as an inert solublizing agent) and <5% praziquantel by weight". It claims to be bacteria safe too.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

I have used Prazi-Pro occasionally to treat flukes (external parasites) in my guppies. It works well--stops the itching, flashing, and shimmying. It has never shown a negative effect on my RCS shrimp, snails, plants, fish, etc.

It may not cure your Betta, but it is one of the better products out there.
