Default Bettafix in El Natural tank?

As the title says, my betta fish tore his fins and despite the usual 0-0-0 parameters I get from this tank has developed severe fin rot really quickly. The heater broke overnight and the temperature got horrendously low, like 10c, around the same time.

Given that bettafix is aimed at bacteria, is it safe to use in my tank? I've set up a hospital bucket if not.

Also, I'm aware that bettafix isn't recommended for bettas based on anecdotal evidence, but we're under very strict quarantine where I am rn, and combined with severe health issues in the family it's either bettafix or a blue plant fungal treatment

Should've said, the active ingredient is melaleuca oil at 0.2% or 2% or something like that

I’ve had great luck with Rooibos Tea for fin rot. Boil the tea in the water for about 5 minutes and let it steep as the water cools. Add to the tank. The tannins are really good for the betta and the darker color to the water will help reduce stress on the fish.
