Question Fluval 20g C02 kit

I just got this setup up yesterday. I filled the chambers as instructed. How do I release the C02 bubbles? Because I do not see anything happening. There is a screw like thing on the top and bottom chambers. Do I suppose to open these or leave as is?

I'm not sure why fluval equips that kit with that huge plastic diffuser when they know people will be putting these on small setups. Is it suppose to be super efficient.

I would just pick up a small ceramic diffuser and not even use that plastic diffuser.

agree with houseofcards on that, their diffuser sucks.

I have a ceramic diffuser I also bought that I could use. The only thing is that the canister will most than likely run out fast, since you are suppose to turn it off once the plastic diffuser is filled.

I have this setup on a 5.5 gallon. I fill the diffuser tank in the morning and evening (you do not let it just run) and it slowly gets absorbed into the water through the day. My plants have exploded.
