No, its abysmal mid-80's construction. No drain in the basement floor either!

The washing machine drains into this 4ft-high tube sticking out of the floor. The washer's outflow tube nearly fills this drain tube. But I don't have any faucet in the basement either - just the washing machine hookup.

I think I need to start seriously saving for a nice faucet & sink setup. I'll scour Craigslist for used ones. Between aquarium and (terrestrial) plant hobbies, its really needed in the basement. Thanks for the suggestions, though!

I just cut a piece of 30ppi foam for my xP filters and put it in the Gravel cleaner. I don't use the gravel cleaner--so its just "there". The sponge keeps everything out....
