Default Eheim Classic 2211 on a 60x30x36cm (60 litre) ??

Hi guys,

I have posted this on a few forums and struggling for an answer, do any of you APC crowd know?

I have a boxed and brand new Classic 2211 ready to use on my 60x30x36 tank, approx 18us g and 70l.

Someone has pointed out it may not be strong/powerful enough.

Since it is brand new and boxed now is the best time to sell it on and get something new rather than use it and realise it is wrong.

Anyone any thoughts?

It will be a heavily planted hi-tech tank with low biomass (10 fish) BUT a lot of amano shrimp.

From the specs I can find it seems that the pump turnover is 300l/h (80g/h) with an actual filtration turnover of 240l/h (63g/h). And that's with a 1.2m head.

If those numbers are correct, I don't see why this wouldn't work on a 70l tank.

And welcome to APC!
