Default Canister filter question??

Tank specs: 75 gallons, 260 watts lighting, CO2 (pressureized), ferts and traces

I want to get a canister filter but... I don't know if I need one or two (all the reading I have done most sources say to turn the water over anywhere from 5-10 times per hour.) Seems most canisters rated for 75 gallons or above only turn over the water 2-3 per hour.

Everyone here seems to agree that canisters are best for planted tanks which I understand. Most have spraybars or at least spraybar accessories which don't churn the water as much which makes the CO2 last longer.

Eheim seems to be a favorite. So any suggestions on which model and what to fill it with ?

Currently running an emperor 400 and its noisy even after I clean it.

Thanks for any replies?

If you are worried about not having enough water turn over rate, then you can always go for a filter rated for a larger tank. If it's a Ehiem you want than model 2026 professionel 2 is rated for a 92 gallon tank with 251 GPH.

I use to use two Emperor 400's on 75 gal piranha tank. Now I use an Ehiem Pro II 2026. Best filter I ever bought. Dr Foster's and Smith's sell it it with media for a cheap price.

Decided today to get the Professional 2 2028.

Ebay had one for $210 with media and kits #1 & #2.

Should be here on friday.

I was just curious as to why the turnover rate which I stated above is about 2-3 times per hour.

The flow rate of 250 GPH is with an empty canister I believe the actual flow rate is somehwere in the neighborhood of 170 GPH which for a 75 Gal tank is a little over 2 times per hour.
