Default Useing RO unit

I have very high PH from the tap 8.5+
if I use an RO unit will this help with my PH ,what would I need to add to the treated water for a planted tank?

Are you sure that's the pH? You need to let the tap water sit in a glass or something for 24 hours and measure it again.

A pH of 8.5 means that your KH would be around 25. I have tap water KH of 15 and I thought that was high!
