has anyone used this? and if so ... or if not.... how come? what are the pros and cons of it?

Hey, just a friendly tip, but you can find most specific substrate, lighting, and fertilization threads in the Advanced Topics sub-forum.

Anyway, there was a recent thread about this in the Science of Lighting sub-subforum (haha) and apparently Coralife said that the regular 6700K bulbs grew plants better than the Colormax 6700 bulbs. Nothing was mentioned about the aesthetic aspect of the Colormax bulb as a standalone; the only mention of looks was with a 6700 colormax bulb paired with a 6700/10000 current bulb, which looked great according to a person. One con that was mentioned was the $45 pricetag of the bulb.
