Default Supply of CO2 Remaining in Tank

I imagine that everyone out there knows this except me but, just in case... CO2 tanks maintain their pressure until they are practically empty making the guage relatively useless in helping you know when you need a refill. So, make sure that you know the empty weight of your tank and just use a scale once in a while to check the weight. When it approaches the empty weight it's time to get it refilled. Hope this helps someone. Bill

Basically that is true. I see a very slight decline right before the tank empties but only right before its empty. I wish they made some sort of level indicator on the side of the tank to show the volume in it.

Very useful tip.
I'm about to get my first pressurized CO2 system. Is that correct that when the cylinder is almost empty the regulator lets trough all the remaining gas at once? So, is the only way to prevent this happening is to measure your cylinder weight when it's empty?

Pressurized tanks are seamless so they can't explode at the seams. There's no way to really put in an indicator and keep the tank seamless at the same time. =P

Sorry!
