Default JBJ fan replacement

Mine has been noisy from day one. Everyone said that's just the way JBJ's were. Now it's getting really loud, and my temp is going up when the light is on. I pulled it apart to take a look, and one fan is going off and on.

Does anyone know of a replacement. Thank's.

Default fans

Well with a 130 Watts I wouldnt think that your lights are getting to hot. If you have a Radio Shack in your area that would be a great place to start. I would take the fan out and go to radio shack. You want to check the voltage of the fan, its prolly brushless, and they should have some size and dimensions chart. Odds are they wont have it in stock but no worries they order fast.

If that doesnt help you can go to a computer store where they build PC's. They will be able to get you the fan that you need.

I also found that a lot of times the sound that you are hearing is the reflector plate. They are very thin and pick up on any vibration, which in turns makes the metal start to hum. A few small pieces of dynamatting attached to the reflector will stop this humming effect. You can purchase this at any car audio shop and maybe even in walmarts car audio department. Beware this stuff isnt cheap. but you only need a 2 inch sq. piece so maybe they will cut you a deal on some shop scraps.

I hope this helps you

Thank's for the reply. I should say my temp is going up now that one of the fan's is on the blink.

I found what I needed over at the other site. Just incase someone else has the same problem, here's a good write up.

I just picked up some spare JBJ fans for a decent price from Nano tuners

These were for a JBJ nano, but they may carry what you need for yours too if you check the part number.
