Default Help with plant placement- biocube

Please help me with aquascaping my biocube. I have several plants that will be ready for planting. Some are permanent and some are being grown out for bigger tanks.

Anyways how can I go about planting the plants in regards to the filter intake? I have never owned one and would enjoy some insight. I have read it can be dangerous for shrimp and small fish due to the high water flow rate (designed for saltwater tanks). Is this true? And any advice, filter pads over intake? Maybe plant a large crypt infront of the intake or one of my larger java moss?

I will be having shoulder surgery on Tuesday! And will be setting up my biocube on Monday! Yeah, point being I want the tank to be as successful as possible. No need for fauna losses. I sincerely appreciate your help and will for sure be making a journal on the board
