Default Eheim 2028 for 50G?

Hi all,

I am planning to start a new 50G soon and wanted to get some info before purchasing

I have a good deal for the 2028 tat I'm tempted in purchasing (I orginally planned for 2026)

But since I'm planning to run an AM1000 reactor and a Hydor Inline heater, both on the output side, would the 2028 be a choice for a good circulation/filteration over the 2026?

Thanks!

P.S. Nice to meet you all!

I wouldnt think you would have a problem using that filter.

If you can get a good deal on the 2028 jump on it. It's a great filter and if you're running the two inline items it should slow the flow down enough so that your 50 won't resemble a white-water rapids.

Well, if the flow rate is still too fast with your inline devices you have two options...1) adjust the ball valve in the valve release system, or 2) drill out the holes in the spraybar (flow rate will be the same but water velocity will be reduced).
