Default Eheim Ecco Pro 2236 question

I have emailed Eheim North America, but they haven't responded.

My new filter doesn't fill the canister with water all the way. It's about 1/8" from the o-ring. Everything seemed to be working OK and is really quiet. It just seems like it should be full all the way?

Anyone have a clue?

mine fills all the way to the top, you can try pupming that handle to let more air out/ water in.

I always get some air in the filter. Pumping with the handle can work but it has no effect on the filter function. You can also wiggle the filter while it's off, tahat sometimes let the extra air to leave.

Thanks.

Getting rid of the reactor on the output seems to have fixed it.
