Default Ada 75-p ?

I just read through several old and very long threads about aquariums. I want a 40 gal breeder that looks nice. ADA has a 30 x 18 x 18 model. It's expensive but if it is what I want then the price is okay. Does putting a lid on it destroy the look? And, where/how do I get a lid for it? Also, doesn't $35 for a mat to put under it sound a bit excessive? Thanks for any advise or other options.

Lots of other options, but if you want a warranty, you need to have it

It figures, after falling in love with this beautiful tank; this morning I find a 40 gal breeder tank on Craig's list for $50. I'm torn but suspect the beautiful tank will not be a reality. The used tank was housing a bearded dragon so it might be a reptile aquarium. There is a difference, right?

I didn't know about putting a mat under the tank. What are the other options? I wonder what else I don't know about. Once I get a tank, I am going to start a thread and hopefully get lots of guidance. Heck, maybe I should start the thread now.

There is a difference. I heard the glass is thinner in the reptile tanks. I wouldn't trust it. You should see if the dollar per gallon sale is going and get the 40 breeder for $40 brand new.

Yes, glass is thinner on reptile tanks. Also there are bacteria to avoid. Matt options: Check out the tool box liners at Lowes. It's a black rubbery roll out that you cut to fit.
