Question The hunt begins.

Hello everyone. I plan on ordering a bunch of plants soon. I was just wondering if anyone had a favorite place to order from or maybe a place I should stay away from. I would like to try and get everything from the same place so it all arrives at the same time. Any help you can give would be great thank you.

A list of plants you're thinking of would be really helpful for us to point you in the right direction.

But I think in terms of a one stop shop you would have good luck looking in the for sale and trade section and contacting sellers who have a huge listing, ebay is another good source to find sellers with tons of listings, and there are other hobbyists with businesses like hanaquatics.

I've had good luck over the years with aquariumplants.com.

My last purchases of plants, from Ebay and Amazon, were both duds. The Ebay shipment took almost 2 weeks to get to me, and the plants were in very bad condition. I got a partial refund. The Amazon seller send me the wrong plant, unusable in my tank. I got a full refund. Before this I had almost a 100% good experience with a variety of sellers. Maybe the pandemic is making it harder for people to ship plants?

I have been using https://buceplant.com
Shipping is fast and everything I've received is in good condition.
I've also used
https://www.aquariumplantsfactory.com/
But I would upgrade the shipping because their free shipping takes a while.

I'm looking for some moderate to low light plants. I'm trying to find some Taiwan moss, Crips, Buce, Anubis, Dwarf hair grass (is there a miny version of this?) some ferns and just about anything that catches my eye that will work well in my setup. I will be getting Co2 at some point but will be using something like excel to start with.

Thanks everyone that sent some tips.

Yes...but most of the plants I like are out of stock and both places are on the pricy side.

I have noticed that the cost of our plants has gone up substantially over the past year or so. My last purchase, just last month, I found no one who was selling at what used to be a good price. If I was going to do this again, and had some time to wait for the best deal, I would look at the for sale forum here, and try to search for people who have offered the plants I need in the past. Then I would try to PM them to see if they have what I want right now. I don't remember ever having a problem buying from members here or other similar sites.

I agree. The prices have definitely gon up sins the last time I bout plants. Take Java fern used to be like a five dollar plant better yet you almost couldn't give it away. Now it's like fifteen bucks. However, I'm also seeing a lot of plants you couldn't buy even if you wanted to for sale on sites. Not necessarily in stoke but for sale nun the less. I'm going to have to get stuff from two different sites. I'm just worried about what do I do with the first batch that comes in before the rest if it's a big gap between deliveries.
