Default alternanthera reineckii died 24 hours after submerged

Hello! This is my first post in this forum, and hopefully somebody can help me with the issues I'm facing regarding my alternanthera reineckii mini's.

Just 24 hours after I planted it in my aquarium it melted away immediately. Look at the picture below. There are some reineckii's that are perfectly healthy that I planted with the DSM method 2 months ago. The tank has been flooded for 1 week and have good lighting, a lot of flow but currently no CO2 yet. Substrate is Seachem Fluorite Black and it's a 15 gallon tank.
Image preview doesn't work, links provided.

This picture is taken just after the planting, about 24 hours earlier.

Couple of days later the reineckii's are almost completely gone:

Is this a natural part of the transition and will they eventually re-grow or what happened?

Welcome to APC! Before I can even guess what might be the problem I need to know more about your entire set-up. First: when you refer to them melting away after "planting", do you mean after flooding the tank? Or, did you replant them when you flooded it? Are you fertilizing the plants? They need to get all of their nutrients from the water, because you have an inert substrate. What is water temperature?

Thanks! The plants was shipped to me and looked like they was grown emerged. So I planted them in an aquarium with water. I use the Seachem Flourish nutriens tabs in the substrate, but have not added nutrients or fertilizer to the water yet. What would you recommend to add?
Water temperatures are steady at 26 C / 78 F and I always use conditioner when doing water changes.

Is the reineckii a fragile plant? Why did some of them survive?

I suggest you read https://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/...ing-guide.html for a simple, effective way of fertilizing the plants. I have found alternanthera reineckii to be a tricky plant - sometimes it grows easily, with nothing special needed, but other times it just won't grow at all for me. I also have had a difficult time getting it to grow well enough to avoid algae problems. It isn't supposed to be a difficult plant, but it also isn't a beginner plant. Until it is growing well I doubt that it can survive without added nutrients in the water.

AR is a demanding plant, I have tried to grow it without co2 and in my case also it just melted away.

All plants grow better with CO2. A few plants, like Hygrophila polysperma, grow vigorously with or without CO2. Most of those plants are seen as noxious weeds, but they do look good, too, until they take over your tank.

AR is demanding plant. I tried 3 times, all died. They came in emerged growth, brilliant red, but failed to transform. I have CO2, medium light, still not enough. it needs high light, high tech.
