Default new layout

It's supposed to look like a deserted island type thing...
Thinking about starting off with either dwarf hairgrass and/or lilaeopsis for the base area.
Some moss on the cracks of the rock.
Still need to put some lava rocks around the base

why does the base look sort of flat like a plate or saucer? can you post a pic from an angle?

The base is a square pot. Used the pot to help control the spread of plants and help define the "shoreline" of the island a little better.

ahh i see. and the lava rocks around the base would take care of the transition for the shoreline. missed that lava rocks bit. was wondering about the sudden cut-off. sounds really good now and can't wait to see it.

Update of the island and try number 2 after and earlier disaster (tank cracked).
Still needs a little more work like more lava rocks and "trees".

The size is off for the tank size. You also need a transition from the vertical pot sides to the gravel. Do you have any small lava rocks you could put around your island? That would solve 2 problems. Grass looks terrific.
