Look at Roy's thread https://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/...pot-green.html. I don't know if you could scale up to 450 g, but it seems possible.

Look up MD Fish Tanks on YouTube. He has a discus tank with plants that works very well !! Very little substrate so easy to clean & plants attached to wood hardscape.. I think it would work well for you !!! Some lovely discus too
Obviously yours would be on a MUCH bigger scale but I think it would work well !!

Exactly what I was about to type. No plants on the substrate. Much easier to reach. Python (or somebody) makes a LOOOOONG gravel vac so you don't have to dive in to clean.

If you need to do large water changes get an IBC container. Cheap and holds 250 gallons.

I can't wait to see some updates on this build! I really enjoy seeing folks large aquarium layouts. So much real-estate to work with...
