Default Looking for design suggestions--coconut caves

I am in the process of cleaning and preparing some coconut caves for a hex 5 gallon. I would like to do something cool and unusual with them, maybe a grouping of some kind or even a maze if it won't confuse my betta too much. I am planning on as many as 4 halves, more if it seems like a good idea. I am thinking about how to cover them in moss without making them look messy. I would like to get a bunch of low maintenance low light plants, including maybe some marimo moss balls mixed in with round rocks to compliment the round caves. I also want something that looks more jagged without endangering delicate betta fins, in order to create contrast, maybe some twisty driftwood or a pointy leaved plant. Has anyone tried any of these elements and taken pictures? Any suggestions how to arrange things?
