Ciao guys,
i forget an important thing...

I have replaced 2 XPG 6500K leds with 2 XPG-2 warm white 3000K temperature color. You can see new led in the first pic. The light now is 3 x 6500K + 2 x 3000K

This is the original spectre power distribution of my light: 5 x Cree XPG 6500K (blue line). You can see the RED component is very low.

This is the spectre power distribution of Cree XPG2 3000K (red line). Now, you can see, the RED component is increased.

I'm curious to see the response of plants... Especially the red plants...

See you at the next update...

Ciao ciao Christian

Little update...
Pic. date is 16/04/2014...

I'm very happy of the Tropica Montecarlo grow. For me this is a beautiful plant as hemianthus callitrichoides but (for me) it is more simple to cultivate...

What do you think?

Bye bye see you at the next update... The HD video is coming...

Pic.5. Now the light is hanging and i have added 30 lens. The aquarium maintenance is now more simple.

Ciao ragazzi... another update
The pic. date is 04/04/2014

I'm happy for aquarium progress.
Red plants growing well.
The tank is very hungry of phosphates. I daily add 3 ml of Seachem Flourish Phoshorus.
And now.... The photos...

What do you think?

Awesome DIY Lighting! Very impressive. Might have to try that someday

And THANKS for the posting about the light's spectral power distribution. There's SO MUCH misinformation about growing plants based on perceived Kelvin color temperature rather than the actual wavelengths of light at play.
