iTrader Positive Rating: 100% | Hi Hi, just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Errin and I am located in western Massachusetts. I didn't make it to the meeting in Millis (obviously lol) but it sounded very interesting. It was just a little out of my travel zone since I have a 4-month-old baby. I was kind of bummed out to tell the truth but I hope to make it to the next meeting especially if it is at Fish Frenzy, which is only about a 45-minute drive from here. I currently have 10 gallon Nano and am excited that plants are growing in it! YAY! I have researched aquatic plants on and off for the last 5 years but just started the nano about 8 months ago. I was always too broke to try even a low-tech planted tank before. Being a self-financed student doesn’t pay very much! Now we live in a bigger apartment and I can finally set up my 55 gallon so I am pretty excited to give the plants a try in something bigger. For a substrate I plan on using a clay Soil Conditioner which is similar to Turface MVP mixed with gravel to give it more weight. I will have 120 watts of light and will probably use an AquaClear filter in the beginning. I do have a substrate heater that I bought over a year ago and now am not sure if I will use it. I figure I might as well since I already paid for it but now i realize I should have sprung for pressurized CO2 instead. I will be stuck with DIY CO2 until I get a part time job to pay for my hobby. So that's enough outta me hope to meet you all in person in about a month Any advice is always greatly appreciated! Wish me luck lol
