welcome to APC Andy What plants you ultimately want to get will depend on your light levels and whether you will supplement with Co2.

Andy, welcome and thanks for introducing yourself to our Forum. Check out my sig for more info about NEAPS, or email me. What part of w. mass are you in? If you are close enough I can hook you up with some free plants or come to our next meeting, there are always tons of free plants from members.

The 2 lfs in the area woth anything, IMO are Fish Frenzy in Indian Orchard(owner and workers are members of NEAPS) and Exotic Fish and Pet in Hadley.

Yes, sorry for not replying to you sooner. NEAPS has been struggling to plan a get together for Sept that in the end will not happen, way to many conflicting interests in the summer months. Oct. will bring a new, well equiped meeting place where we can start up again with a bang. The date is not yet resolved but course generally holds to the 3rd Saturday of the month. I will post further info both here and at www.ne-aquaticplants.com when all is decided.

Fish frenzy did indeed move to a better location on route 20, Main street Indian Orchard. Their phone number is the same though, 732-7222 if you need directions. Nice store now with a good layout. Exotic Fish and Pet in Hadley is the other good store around, that I know of. Some plants and great fish. Members are usually willing to give/trade extra clippings at meetings. If ou are really in need of plants, PM me and maybe you can swing buy and pick up my extras. Trading/buying with hobbiests online is the best way to get good, healthy plants for reasonable prices. Generally it is very safe. I ship or recieve plants at lest every other week and have had only 1 bad experience, that was quickly corrected.

Please join the NEAPS email list, send out an introduction and we will be happy to chat with you. Honestly I am really the only member of NEAPS consistantly on APC but we can get some pretty good dialogue on the NEAPS email list.
