Default Trenton anyone?

Do you guys ever meet anywhere near Trenton/central Jersey? I'm in Trenton myself and I'd be happy to come up north for the occasional meeting, but something close by would be great if it is an option.

I'd also love to find locals with whom I can trade plants. Anyone interested? As you guessed.... I'm in Trenton....

BTW, took a quick look at your website and some of the tanks from the meetings and there are some really special setups there!

All the best,
Aaron

Hey, gotta travel across the bridge into PA. The Bucks County Aquarium Society meets the first thursday of the month. They take place in churchville near feasterville, five miles from the street rd exit off Rt 1.
I bring a lot of clippings to the meeting's auction. What are you looking for? My planted tanks have a variety. Check out the group outa Freehold. I've enjoyed their annual spring auction.

Hey guys, sorry no one got back to you on this. Most of our membership has evolved into the north eastern area of New Jersey (and even areas of NYC). However, we do have a few members that are "travelers"!

We can only evolve into others areas of New Jersey as membership becomes available and interest is there. I for sure would have no problem traveling to Trenton for a meeting and I am sure most others wouldn't either.

Sorry I left you hanging. The Jersey Shore Aquarium Society in Freehold can be found at: http://www.jerseyshoreas.org/
The Bucks County Aquarium Society would love to have you visit also.

My apologies here as well, it took me awhile to notice the replies. This is really great information, thank you! As my life settles over the next couple weeks (the High Holidays are just ended, and then I've got a wedding to attend and a few other events) I'd like to attend and would love to eventually host something like this.

BTW, I recall reading a classified about a Guppy group that meets in Princeton. I don't remember where, but does anyone happen to know more about them? Sounds neat and close as well.

Thanks again and I look forward to following up with you all.

That would be wonderful. BTW, sorry it took me so long to get back. I hadn't looked at the thread after the first week I guess, but it looks like I missed out.

I'm at my in-laws at the moment, down in Atlanta, but I'll drop you a PM when I return and perhaps we can get together. Thanks!

Thank you as well, and sorry also for the glacier-like reply (see above for excuses... ). That sounds like a wonderful solution... I'm just so darned ignorant about some of the local resources. I've pretty well mapped out the good LFSs around the general Trenton area, but other people, groups, stores further out, etc., those I know bupkiss about.

As for what I'm looking for... whew. I love collecting plants, much to my wife's chagrin. Lately I've been working on a couple Erios with greater and lesser success, and trying some Pogostemons, but I grow tons of floaters enjoy all sorts of plants. I just find it so rewarding watching something that I've helped to grow blossom; on the flipside, it really sucks when my plants die, but 'dems the breaks. I don't know if that answers your question, but when I get back to Jersey tomorrow I'll sit down with my list and try to be more specific.

All the best,
Aaron
