Default Please help me with Hairgrass

Hi Friends...

Just wanted some desperate help and guidance...

Its my dream to have a nice little patch of lawn in front of my tank, just in front of the drift wood cave and I've planted some dwarf hair grass and some grass plant. My problem is that some fish or the other digs out some grass everyday and I have to plant it again and again. But I see that the roots are really improving and picking up as they have grown pretty long.

Just wanted to ask if I can burry the grass a little deeper than normal so that the fish cant get them out again ? Or do I have to pull the plant up a little so that the crown part is above the substrate ? Will the grass still survive if the crown is under-gravel and if I bury the grass deep?

I desperately want to see and grow the grass carpet, kindly help and guide me friends...
Thanks and Regards
Kush

Hi,

Its ok to plant it a little deep it will grow out. Just make sure green is above the substrate
Next time the fish makes its cave try not to disturb substrate while planting again. Also keep in mind some fish will uproot plants if they are in the way...after all its their home not ours
