Default Need advice on plants

I'm hoping that I can get some good advice from here.
I have owned my 1st tank for about 7 months now and everything is going great. I recently just changed all my gravel to caribsea's tahitian moon black sand and now I am thinking about putting live plants in.
First, I know nothing about live plants. I came across this picture that I would like to use as a reference.

I really want my tank to look similar to this. I want those same plants on the corners (left and right side). However, I don't know what their called.
I also do not want to have any co2 setup if that's possible. Is it possible to just use lighting? I have a 55g 4'x13"x20" acrylic. THe lights I have on top are 4 foot long as well, be able to fit 2 light bulbs in them.
Is it possible to have my tank looking like that pictures without having a co2 setup?

Thanks for this wonderful site and your opinions...

Welcome to the board!

Yes, you can get a look very similar to the pic; you just have to choose the right plants to work in your conditions.

Check out our Plant finder to get some ideas.
