The site hosting the pictures seems to be down. Does anyone have a copy of the infographic to repost?

using a wide bubble rod, sitting low down at one end of the tank.

not a big fan of thread algae but it does assist in showing water flow through the tank.

the bottom the threads all pulled towards the bubble rod, the top all the threads were away from it.

creating a cheap very gentle water flow through the tank

herns I appreciate the effort you have gone through organizing this picture and updating it over time. It is definitely helpful and I know a lot of people use this chart on different forums as the gold standard in diagnosing plants.

I think ultimately what I'd like to see happen with the plant deficiencies forum in the future is to take pictures of all species of aquatic plants during each deficiency mentioned above and organize it into the plantfinder. That way you can look up your plant on the plant finder, flip to nitrogen or phosphate deficiency (etc...) and see what it looks like with your specific species. We already have something like this on APC, but it isn't incorporated into the plantfinder and its not very thorough or updated very often. It is sort of on its own floating out there on its own. I'll have to see if we can reorganize things so everything is in one place.

Oh, also, if you get a chance in your next update of the figure could you correct my name from ZapKins to Zapins.

@btimmer30, @herns Your welcome! im glad its helping you both.

@zapins. Thanks for the kind words. I wouldn't stay a sticky is a gold standard, but i'll take the compliment . The chart has been translated in danish, spanish and german. So, i'm glad it's picking up momentum with other translators diffusing it into their international groups.

I am working on a format which not be an image and will be easy to share and translate. So stay tuned.

I'm just embarrassed that i misspelled your name inspite of studying your post and reading your articles like a million times. i'm sorry about that. i'll push out a new version with the correction soon.

As far pics go, i do agree that they will be quicker and better to educate people about. Like you said, It would definitely be interesting to see the plants and how their morph during particular deficiencies. It might be a cool project to work on next

No problem about the name, people often misspell names including me

I've begin to compile an extensive list of plant deficiencies in a new database http://deficiencyfinder.com/

Let me know what you think.

I'm always looking for more pictures.
