Can I use this like a NORMAL pressurized co2 set up? Hey guys. I have a little 5.5 gallon planted tank and I want to run some pressurized co2. I came across the FLUVAL 22 Co2 system. It is a small and inexpensive option. I am running a paintball tank on my 20 gallon planted tak DUY of course, but I did not want to do that for my 5.5 gallon aquarium. I have 1 problem. This FLUVAL "Mini" Co2 system is designed to fill a co2 "resivoir" and not run continuosly. Do you guys think I could run this FLUVAL 22 Co2 system continously using a nlrmal diffuser? If so, how long will one of those little 20g ish co2 canisters last at about 1 to 2 bubbles a second for about 8 hours a day? PLEASE HELP THANKS! |

Re: Can I use this like a NORMAL pressurized co2 set up? Why not just get a small used CO2 setup off craigslist/ebay? I have a 20# and 5# setup that cost me less than $100 for all of it. The 20# tank lasted over 9 months before finally running out. The 5# was a recent find, I'll be using that on a 30g tank hopefully. In any case, find some local brewing forums and watch craigslist. These things regularly pop up there cheap. Even if the tank is old a gross, you can just take it to an Airgas and exchange it for a certified good tank. A small 5lb tank is well over 2000g. Why deal with expensive 88g refill carts? |
Re: Can I use this like a NORMAL pressurized co2 set up? And you can also get a paintball CO2 tank with regulator if you're looking for something smaller in space |
