Online review

Ok you have a Local Fish Store Review but how about a section for online fish/plant review. Equipment is equipment, if 2 stores have the same model then the product is the same but live things like fish and plants are a different story. So maybe you could add a subcatagorey for websites that sell plants/fish. Members can critique the speed, quality, communication, etc of the transaction. If you are at a fish store you get to see what you buy before you walk out the door but online you never know what you are going to get until it hits your door. Do you get my general idea?

BigRed,

I think I do. You would like to see a Review section for online retailers. Right?

Sir_BlackhOle 04-25-2004 02:16 PM

Sounds like a good idea to me. :-)

BigRed27 04-25-2004 04:50 PM

Yep you got it Art. That way new guys like me can stay away from the people who have poor quality or service. :D

Just be careful Art. We all saw what happened on APD who knows what someone might say and how someone might take it.

BigRed27 04-25-2004 11:34 PM

What happened to APD?

Big Red,

Happy reading http://www.dynamoo.com/diary/pets_warehouse.htm. It's a sad story.

People just need to learn how to make a proper review with facts & opinions based on personal experience.

Whenever I buy computer/electronics items online I always check with http://resellerratings.com . They have a good system, imho. Would be nice to have something like this for our hobby(addiction).

People also should stop trying to make a quick buck off of others with frivolous lawsuits that hold no merit what-so-ever.

They sure do Matt. But then again I don't we will ever see that stop. Look at the lady who burnt her koochie with coffee from McDonalds and made a ton of cash. And then there are where those people sueing the fast food chains because they are obese. One of the guys actually thought 100% beef meant it was healthy.

I think as long as people are constructive with their thoughts and lay out the facts of what happened and what they tried to do and how they were served there shouldn't be a problem. It's when people jump out and yell SNAKE OIL THIS WHATEVER SUCKS is when you are asking for problems. And there are always 2 sides to every story. Basically we just need people to lay out the story of good or bad and let the reader come up with their own conclusions if they want to do business with that company. Maybe just make some detail guidelines and note that anything slanderious will be removed.
