Overflow filter for nano?
I was wondering if it was possible to have an overflow filter for a nano tank (nano as in less than 2 gallons). I don't like those internal and HOB filters because you can see the filter itself. So, does anyone have any ideas, plans, links on overflow filter that does not require drilling or any modification on the tank?

Why not a small external canister? I think Zoo Med just came out with one that would work well on a small tank.

I've only found one canister filter from Zoo Med and it's rated up to 30 gallons. The price is around $50.00. The model is 501 canister filter. Is that the one you're talking about Gumby?

why not DIY your own external canister filter??

all you need is a

power head ( low power )
a container that can be locked and leak proof
long enuf silicone tubeS
and the media you want to put into your container

after that you can make your own^^

hope this helps
