Please share your experiences with EHEIM pro II external filter..
I've been planning to buy a canister filter for my 122x48x48 (cm) tank for about a week now and my search has narrowed down to The EHEIM 2026 pro II filter..
please share your experiences using this filter..
I'll be spending Rs.11000 i.e. $237 approx. on it.

I have a couple of these and I love them. They are solidly built and engineered and will last forever. The only complaint I could have would be that they are so quiet I have to look for the water flow or put my hand on them to make sure they're still running :p !
But they are pricey...

I certainly couldn't imagine a better filter! It replaced a fluval 304 and the difference was night and day.

It looks very solid and all the reviews I've read on it have been good, except the obvious priciness...but you often get what you pay for. I just bought one off bigals for $169.99 (incl. media) during their free shipping promotion -- score! I can't say how it works just yet since the tank is still on order.

I'm using the 2026 pro II myself for some weeks. I had it's almost identical predecessor 2226 running for 8 years without any issues until the head died. The filters are solid and functional, if size and throughput fits your tank there's nothing to go wrong. $237 is pretty much compared to the prices here in Germany, I bought mine for ~100EUR =~ 119.139 USD.

Mine has been running for only a few days so I can't tell about its reliabilty, but I can clearly hear if its running or not...
Should I worry ?

Mine is noticable by a slight hum, too. Identical to the 2226, so I guess it's totally normal. Maybe it can be reduced with some dampening material underneath.

I bought it:-) and so far everything is very good.. the water's crystal clear, the current in the tank is perfect and i also added my DIY CO2 to it's intake and it's doin a damn good job of dissolving the CO2..
Also it doesn't make any noise..just a very low humm.
