Buceplant review | PART 2 | almost 3 years later. So, my last review on BucePlant wasn't to great. And since then, i have never ordered from them... Up until now. Here is my review: I have a 3,000g pond (with bog) and i was in the market for some more experiment plants. To see what could grow, and overwinter. I thought giving vallisneria sp. a try would be neat. So i heard buceplant had a memorial day sale on, so i figured maybe it is time? to try again? Anyway i ordered multiple plants (as you can see below) https://i.imgur.com/NGDOwQX.jpg https://i.imgur.com/PHw5Ccw.jpg https://i.imgur.com/DHAFtrT.jpg The order went very smoothly, i like the fact they have a gps system type of thing that you can track your order with. I don't use it, but its a cool feature in my opinion especially for those who Do want to use it. After ordering my plants, i signed up for the text update system so i got all my notifications by text. I did want them by email to, but i only got them by text so i guess when you choose "text" your only getting text notifications. Which is fine. So i received the plants in what felt like 3 days or so. Maybe less. So they came very quickly, upon arrival i was very excited to see what condition the plants would be in since my last order i placed with buceplant. I opened the slightly damaged box, only to reveal everything came in healthy condition, the vals where in pretty good shape honestly. Good stuff. Not the best, by far, but if i had to rate it 1/10 it would most certainly be a 7 1/2 - 8. As for customer service, i didnt have to use it this time, so i cannot say if it is good or bad compared to my last review. https://i.imgur.com/B2h3C4G.jpg Overall rating: https://i.imgur.com/xE6d3ku.png |
Re: Buceplant review | PART 2 | almost 3 years later. I have had very good luck with BucePlants, but not this time. I don't know what changed, but it looks like they are now managed by inexperienced people. First, I ordered a couple of cheap, easy stem plants. It took about 6 days before it arrived, and one of the bunches of plants was just brown gloop in the package. I reported the problem, and they offered credit for a replacement order. So, I ordered a single package of vals. That order took 5 days to arrive, with three of those days spend in my city - Fed Ex delivery. The plants were near dead, but might eventually survive. In all case, the plants were packaged in tight sealed plastic envelopes, very wet. That is not a good way to ship them, in my opinion. When I suggested that it would be chaaper and faster if they shipped by Priority Mail they answered that I had the option of having Priority mail shipment if I wanted it, but they don't offer that option. BucePlants is in Southern California, about 300 miles from me. A first class mail package would take about 3 days. Priority Mail would take about 2-3 days. Shipping plants works when the plants are damp, but not dripping wet, and if they are in a ziplock envelope with some air, with or without some barely damp paper. BucePlants appears not to know that. I'm through buying any plants from them. |
Re: Buceplant review | PART 2 | almost 3 years later. Fedex is pretty expensive. Ground, 6-7 days delivery is $15. It's a deal breaker if they only use FedEx. |
