I found this forum when searching for how to identify a certain plant growing in my aquarium. I have several planted tanks ranging from 5 gallons to 40 gallons. This plant must have hitched a ride on something else. So far it is only in one tank. I am attaching 2 photos (sorry they aren't the best). In one photo you can see the very fine stems with an extremely small "leaf" growing every half inch or so and growing in and around java moss. The other photo shows a big clump of the stuff growing at the surface on top of some java moss. Any help with identification would be most welcomed!

I look forward to participating on this site as I love aquatic plants!

Thank you.

Welcome to APC! That plant is a well known one that is a nuisance, but a senior moment keeps me from remembering what it is called.

Thank you both for the replies. Yup, it sure looks like bladderwort. Nice to know what I'm dealing with.
