New Local Site

Hi folks, I just wanted to make you aware of our new local freshwater fishkeeping site in Houston. I recognize a few of you that have already joined. I want to offer you your own forum at HoustonFishBox.com. We already have a few local clubs on and many users that have yet to associate with a club. If you're interested, I just need to know who speaks for your club and which one of you wants to be the moderator for your forum. We'd love to have you. If nothing else, please drop by and check us out. Thanks, ken

Thanks, Ken, for sharing with us this information:o I am sure there will be members who will be delighted as many already keep fish.

I'm am JEALOUS because I missed this meeting! I wish I would have known about it. It looks like it was a great time. I didn't understand before that your club is not a fish club, but rather plants only. Is anyone going to be attending the HAS auction this sunday? I'm sure people would love to have some of your plants.

Thanks for the comment. We do welcome anyone who are interested to come to our meetings. That is one reason why we make a post here at APC:) We make the first meeting complementary so should the people who come be interested, they can always come to their 2nd meeting and become a member then.

Our main goal is to really create a club dedicated to aquatic plants because there are already many great fish clubs out there. We wanted to create something that focuses more on the aquatic plant keeping, with a particular interest toward Nature Aquarium. So yes, even the fish is an integral part of it as a planted tank would be life-less without its actors---the fish!

As for the auction and other related news, Houston Fish Box and other clubs are always welcomed to post here:) So the members can always come and see what is going on around the Greater Houston area and its surroundings. So once again, thank you so much for sharing this event with us:p

Same to you. You're welcome to post on our site about your events. I'm sure there are some folks over there that would be very interested in your club.
