I have a bag of muriate of potash (0-0-60) that I wanted to use as a sourse of potassium. If I use Chuck's calculator, do I just click on Potassium in potassium chloride?
Thanks,
Hoop

I got it from a local garden center. 5Lb. bag cost me less than $3. Made by a company under the name of ESPOMA. Has a website on the bag. www.espoma.com

I think that muriate of potash is potassium chloride. "muriate" normally means a chloride. Potassium sulfate would be sulfate of potash.

I still have some of that in my closet. If I rememeber correctly, mine were ather large crystals and red. The crystals took awhile to dissolve so consequently there were usually red particles floating aound the tank for awhile. I can't really comment on their effectivness because I switched to Potassium Sulfate shortly after.
