Light Fixture Help

Hello guys,

I am thinking about getting a 7 gal tank that is all glass. It has a weird dimension because it is 18x12x10". I really want to get the tank because its a nice rimless tank and it was pretty cheap. The only problem is that I can't seem to find a place that sells a light fixture that would fit this oddly shaped tank. Any idea or suggestions guys?

Re: Light Fixture Help

You might be able to stretch this light out to 18". It is 16" long but the curved nature of the mounting legs allows you to add some width.

You can also build a custom hood to your specs and hang the lights on miniature light hangers.

Buy regular 20" lights and use the adjustable mounting feet (sold separately) to make it fit your tank.

I was actually looking at that a while ago. It is definitely interesting. I'm just sacred that if i get it it wont work out. That would suck a lot, because its like 60 dollars. Another down side to that light is that it doesn't look slick like the ones on this site. http://www.arcadia-uk.info/product.p...n=en&sub=&id=4

I'd just build my own custom hood then. There are a bajillion ways of having it float over the tank while leaving the rimless look intact.
