Looks like the plants are growing quite nicely, as a matter of fact, maybe too nicely! I am thinking maybe the wood is getting a little lost with the plants filling up the gaps so quickly, are you planning to keep the wood covered up with plants or trim some of the plants back?

Its looking REALLY good Jason! When I first saw the hard scape with those huge rocks i thought they were WAY to big, with no plants the hard scape seemed really out of proportion. I should have know better though, some one like you who has done large tanks before knew better than I!! Haha now that its filling in so nicely i see why you choose such large pieces of rock! Its coming together beautifully!

I put some really large rocks in my 75g recently and have since been thinking they were to large, now i know they are going to look just fine once the plants fill in! crazy how much the hardscape can get drowned out once the plants get going ;)

Kris - So far is a beautiful fern!! Its a slow grower so there is still some time before i know if it was the right choice for the location i put it.

John - I will start to prune a little more aggressively after all the fish go in.

MrSanders - I can certainly see how some feel the stones are too prominent. I think they will always sort of have that feel, but it was what i was going for....so we will have to see how it pans out. But yes, i should be the first to say this tip...."Rocks shrink when you add water" ;)

Thank you for the comments.

This is looking good, man. Can't wait to see the pics with fish in it.
And, yeah, the light green algae on rocks gives out a nice 'touch'.
