911! emergency question taking aquatic plants on plane :spy::yield::doh::horn: HI I'm from DFW Texas, and been here in on vacation. I ended up buying some aquatic plants and need to know if I need to do anything special to them back to dfw. can I carry them in my carry on bag, or do I need to put them in my suit case, or have them mailed? do I need a permit. thanks for the help. I leave in the morning to go back home. Joey |
Re: 911! emergency question taking aquatic plants on plane Wow...how did this turn out? Which species did you take? I'm really curious... |
Re: 911! emergency question taking aquatic plants on plane I got them home a few rotella sp. and some anubias. left them in the bag. let some of the air out. put that bag in a shopping bag then in to my suit case. |
Re: 911! emergency question taking aquatic plants on plane i normally ship back but you can pack them in ziplocks sans water for a few hours in your carry on if needed. |
Re: 911! emergency question taking aquatic plants on plane I know you are already home, though I've travelled back with plants too, carryon rule is less than 4 ounces of water. the plants just need to stay most and easily handle several days in a ziploc bag without water (if you use a papertowel, make sure it is moistened). |
