Good Rudolf Red-nosed Shrimp Deal!!!
Just to let people know that they now are carrying these cool shrimps and others at the Village Tropical. I went there today to get some Amano shrimps. Also good deal at 10 for$20. The red-nosed were at 3 for $6. Not a bad deal consider they are still pretty uncommon.
Hope this helps those shrimp lovers;)
Aloha Paul, thats awesome that you can get them there. Here in Nebraska I cant get them. Thanh is going to send me some Cherries but as far as Amanos and red nose no such with any shrimp for that matter. My wife and I are really thinking of moving to Houston but just the initial step is the hardest to accomplish.
Take Care, Ike :D
Hm...those cherris sound kindda familiar? I think I have seen them in my tanks before:P Yeah, Ike, I have only just seen those red-nosed there yesterday, along with some wood shrimp. So, I took my chance and got myself 6 for $12. Not a bad deal, in my opinion, consider how much they would cost if you buy them on-line.
Speaking about shrimps, I always do some kindda shrimp giveaway or trade during the Fall/Winter/Spring as those times are best for shipping live things. If you are interested I can put you on the list. These are cherry shrimps.
In terms of living cost, is Nebraska higher or lower than Houston? I know the latter is definitely hotter; no question:) Also, consider the plus and minus of Houston, I think the plus outweighs the minus when you compare it to other cities in US. Sure, the weather is hot but that's about the only down side; it only lasts for 3 months. We have pretty much everything as far as this hobby goes. Not to mention great foods, too! In other areas, you'd have to settle for: Earth quakes, Hurricanes, Crazy snows, super high taxes......terrorist attacks?! So, have I done enough to convince you to move here in the near future? If so, then allow me to pre-say,"Welcome to Houston!"
moving to houston for shrimp??? wow..lol:)
Uh......I don't think that's what Ike meant. Good one, though, ranmasatome;)
Here are some picture I took today to show what it looks like. This is definitely the shrimp that I am going to keep for times to come. It is just awesome! They even exhibit interesting swimming behavior not seen in Amanos and cherries, as far as I know.
Went by Village Tropical today the shimp have gone up in price now they are $3.00 a piece.
Weren't they $3 a piece already? Cus that's the price per shrimp. But if you buy them in 3 then they are $6.00 That's why I got them. They always have deals like that, where you get 3 or 6 for lower price if you had to buy them individually.
They told me that I would have to spend a large amount of money to get them at $2.00 a piece.
They know me well in there as I visit with them at least once a week.
I was trying to buy at least 10 of the shrimps with a few neons as well.
I would say it would be over $40.00 I was going to spend.
Sorry if I offended you. I'm not trying to say that you are lieing about your purchase.
I am happy you got a great deal.
I was just trying to say what they told me.
