beginner looking for a start - For Sale or Trade

i'm very much a beginner to aquarium plants and this is my VERY first post here. i have a 55 gallon hex guppy tank and just really let them do their thing. i'm trying to get this tank looking a little nicer with some plants and possibly providing them some hiding places to breed and see what kind of fish i can create. i have a sand/crushed shell substrate and from all of the reading i've done on this site it appears that i need some kind of moss for the babies to hide in and some other random plants for variety sake.

i guess the below is what i'm looking for:

java (or any other kind) moss
shrimp
any assortment of plants

not too picky huh?

obviously i'm more than happy to pay for these and would like to get as much as i can from one person so i'm not spending a ton of cash on shipping. if anybody thinks they could help a beginner out, i'd greatly appreciate it and would be happy to ship them some of my future guppies for their help.

What kind of lighting do you have? Need some more specific tanks specs to give you some help.

where are you located ? Are you in the States ?

I have also just started on this hobby and do have quite a bit of plants that i use to jump start the tank which you can use. PM me if interested. I am located in California

thanks guys!!! i've had a couple people PM me so i'll add something to my description of what i'm doing. the tank i want to plant is a 55 gallon hex. it has a hood with 3, 18 inch bulbs. right now, i have a coralife 50/50, a coralife sun-glo, and a burnt out bulb. right now this setup is doing wonderful for the fish. they couldn't be happier (i think!). i was planning on picking up a coralife bulb for plants to replace the burnt out bulb with unless anybody has a better suggestion! thanks again guys!!!
