Don't forget safety! An aquarium is very rarely grounded, but all metal bathtubs are grounded, so if you touch a live wire while in contact with the tub you can be seriously injured at best. Every electric portion of the set-up has to go through a ground fault circuit interrupter to make sure no one gets shocked. I also doubt that a bathtub could be relied on to continuously hold water for weeks at a time. You could put a wood platform on top of the tub, and use that as a stand for a glass or acrylic tank and be more likely to be successful.
