Sorry by the gramatical and ortography mistakes, but my mother lenguaje is spanish. :wink:

I am a mad for the plants and I have a great collection, especialty the genus Cryptocoryne. I have 25 aquariums of 25g and a experiment with many substrates and others factors.

Some years ago in my contry we only have a few species, the most populars and rustic plant like Egeria sp, Cryptocoryne affinis, C. becketti, C. parva, C. undulata, H. polysperma, Ludwigia repens, Microsorium sp., Vallisneria sp., Echinodorus amazonicus , E. horizontalis, Vesicularia dubyana, and others. All in emersed culture at low prices (US$ 1 to 2.5).

In 1998 I know Cubics (nickname) and with the help of Internet a start a new period in my acuarism, try with substrat compost with clay, humus and peat moss, add CO2 by DYS and alot of light. In the same time we do the first importation of plants more dificult and expensive. At this point born a gruop of people in my contry who work to change the poor diversity of species and stay live in the time.

I'm a little late but welcome to Aquatic Plant :D

I also enjoy keeping Crypts and have started using them more in my aquascapes.

That is quiet a long species list you have. I hope you will post some pics of your plants & tanks.

Ok, this a picture I like very much take with a reflex camera and semi fish eye (15mm), I hope you like this picture.



three months later you con see the diference, and the extra large Cryptocoryne wendtti var. brown (45 cm, 18 inch).


I have a lot pictures and show more in other post, I have pictures of Crinum thaianum flowering and develop fruits and grow the new young plants.

Hello to everyone,

I`ve seen Javiercrypt aquarium live, and I have to say they are quite amasing. He has grown many cryptocoryne species also in the emersed form, obtaining many flowers from the diferent species.

Sería bacan que te pusieras algunas fotos de las flores de tus cryptos.

We would love to see some crypts flowers photos.
